Beach Guidelines and Amenities:

• Alcohol Prohibited on the sand and on the Seawall.
• Lifeguard towers are stationed close to the rock jetties, where rip currents are known to form.
• There are “No Swimming Areas” on both sides of the rock jetties due to rip currents, underwater debris, rocks, fishhooks, etc.
• Lifeguards staff this beach from Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend. It is recommended to swim in areas protected by lifeguards.
• Designated boat launch site at 29th and Seawall. Trailer cannot be left on the shoreline, and vehicle cannot be left on the sand (must be parked on the Seawall).
• Boogie board, umbrella and chair rentals available at most beaches. Surfboard rentals available at some locations. Food concessionaires available at some beaches. Port-o-let toilets at various locations along Seawall.
• No parking fees.
• Fishing available from the rock jetties.
• In the summer months, surfing is allowed between the Flagship pier and 53rd street. These are called “multi-use areas” and permit surfboards, hard-bottomed boogie boards, wind and kite surfers, and other hard-bottomed craft.
