Kitchen Chick Summer Camp

Enroll your budding chef in The Kitchen Chick’s Summer Camps!
These classes will immerse your child in a safe, educational & entertaining world of food and feed their interest in cooking! Students will learn different cooking techniques, discuss nutrition/healthy eating and practice food/kitchen safety in these deliciously hands on, interactive and encouraging lessons! Your child’s kitchen confidence will skyrocket!
 
Each camp is 4 days in length, held 1PM-4:30PM, limited to 12 students (7-14 years) and led by dynamic duo of certified teachers. Campers should arrive having already eaten lunch, wearing closed-toe shoes and long hair secured back. The Kitchen Chick will provide aprons for each child to wear and all supplies and tools. Each student will receive all recipes prepared during their session on their last day of camp. 
 
Registration Information:
Children can register for any number of weeks during the summer – pick one or two weeks, or sign up for all seven! The cost for each one-week (4-Day: Monday, Wednesday-Friday) session is $300 per camper. The Kitchen Chick offers a $25 discount when enrolling a sibling in the same session. Each session can accommodate up to 12 campers. Payment due in full at time of registration.
 
Session Information:
Session 1: Food Truck Fare! Starts June 6 – menu includes psychedelic salad spring rolls, beef satay skewers with peanut sauce, warm apple pie tacos, flash-fried Brussels sprouts salad, candied chocolate-dipped bacon, crispy potato samosas, decadent Nutella & strawberry crepes, savory cheeseburger clouds, coconut fried chicken, kolache dog with homemade ketchup & mustard, BBQ bahn mi sammies, mighty cone with aioli & zeppole doughnuts! 
 
Session 2: Tex Mexi! Starts June 13 – menu includes melt-in-your-mouth carnitas sliders & tangy coleslaw, rich tres leches cake, cowboy biscuits & sausage gravy, homemade chicken & dumplings, elote corn cup, crispy churros, spicy turkey chili topped with honey jalapeno cornbread, homemade refried beans, incredible enchiladas, fried shrimp po’boy sammies, fresh red and tomatillo salsas & chips and classic Texas sheet cake!
 
Session 3: Farm to Table! Starts June 20 – menu includes homemade ricotta, asparagus & pesto pizza, icy strawberry mint popsicles, fresh baked buttermilk bread, quick pickled vegetables, summer vegetable quiche, watermelon sorbet, cool shrimp salad boats, fresh chevre and beet salad with homemade dressing, sage thyme chicken pot pie, sweet strawberry jam, local honey & lavender ice cream, chickpea of the sea sammies and sweet potato pie with caramel sauce!
 
Session 4: Big Bold Baking! Starts June 27 – menu includes red velvet Oreo stuffed cupcakes, giant soft pretzels and homemade mustard dipping sauce, decadent volcano chocolate cake, savory empanadas, chocolate-dipped madeline cookies, individual pineapple upside cakes, homemade cinnamon rolls, frosted berry ‘pop’ tarts, savory calzones, strawberry & almond shortcakes, crispy churros, fresh baked buttermilk bread and sweet strawberry quick jam! 
 
Session 5: International Fusion! Starts July 4 – menu includes Moroccan couscous, creamy mediterranean hummus, pita chips & tzatziki, Italian zeppole (doughnuts!), Cuban sammies, roasted plantains & zesty chimichurri, homemade pizza, lemongrass curry with turkey meatballs, Nutella and strawberry crepes, spicy chicken pad Thai, crispy falafel nanwich, basic sushi, homemade pasta with meatballs & fresh pesto and orange pistachio madeline cookies!  
 
Session 6: Sweet & Savory … Science!?! Starts July 11 – menu includes fossil shortbread cookies, roasted sweet potato fries, sizzling fajitas, fresh ceviche, s’mores, homemade giant pretzels, ramen sliders, quick pickled veggies, marshmallow cream from scratch, unleavened bread, , popcorn balls, Greek salad with feta vinaigrette, beet-red velvet cupcakes, homemade ricotta cheese, savory quiche and a chocolate chip cookie experiment! 
 
Session 7: Brunch Favorites! Starts August 1 – menu includes blueberry pancake pops, fresh fruit smoothies, homemade cinnamon rolls, eggs benedict, warm apple pie tacos, baked bacon-wrapped avocado egg cups, breakfast empanadas, summer veggie quiche, southern shrimp & grits, homemade granola parfait, savory scones, bacon mac & cheese hashbrowns and Italian zeppole (dougnuts!) with blackberry syrup!
